Dedication & Courage to Be Present

First and foremost, thank you for taking time out of your full day to read these words. You being here inspires me to push my boundaries with hopes that the fruit of it feeds the hearts of us all.

As most of you know in the jewelry we create, the fact that it's jewelry is the least important element to me. The most important and what puts a skip in my step is being able to provide a way that we can walk daily with words that inspire, ground and teach us how to reach for the courage to be totally present, alive and heart centred.

This last weekend I completed my certificate in Contemplative End of Life Care and home funeral options. WOW, it was a weekend of beauty. Powerfully deep humbling beauty. Conscious living, conscious dying. Imagine creating your birth into afterlife as the most important awe inspiring gathering of your life, orchestrated by family and friends. I didn't even know that it was an option to have a home funeral. Did you? In any case, I now feel like a volunteer fireman and hope that lots of others will embark upon these studies so that every community know the full spectrum of choice and can support each other in time of need.

and no, I have no intention to stop making jewelry. I see its benefits, and hope it affords me the luxury of time and resources to support the other work.

***Now to bigger than life footsteps.. the Thich Nhat Hanh North American tour of Mindfulness retreats has been a gift to many. I'm so grateful to have participated even in a little way, in Toronto, New York, Boston and will meet them at Deer Park Monastery in California for the last leg of the tour mid October. Let me know if you're attending and I'll keep an eye out for you. My grandson's voice echoes in my head "Oh so lucky GG"
