Truly, how do you think of prayer?
Having been in Rishikesh for almost a week now this question arises repeatedly as it appears in many forms everywhere and anytime.
Rishikesh has been a spiritual gathering place for eons. It’s in the Himalayas on the Ganges River. The Ganges is a powerful sacred site and may be heard called Mother Ganga.
Here you will find people that pilgrim here from every country, every colour, age, social demographic, speaking in any language and honouring any faith or Mother Nature herself. All seems to blend in this city in total harmony. How beautiful is that?
In a city where eating animal and drinking alcohol is forbidden the vibration of a wider acceptance is already raised.
We’ve gone to a few satsangs with tremendously wise teachers. Sitting amidst a room of people from long time devoted students to simple seekers of lessons to live better lives.
Just being amidst this open acceptance inspires a loosening of opinions and judgements. This loosening allows the shoulder blades to release. When this happens you can almost imagine you have wings urging to set you free.
