Love and Healing in the Time of Corona
In a time when the world is forced to be still, what do you see? There seems to be a universal reset activation happening. There is an invisible threat to our existence as we know it. Whether it’s a physical, economical, or social threat. It’s a scary time and a precious time.
If we have to go back to nothing but we keep love, we will be in a place more sustainable on every level.
This quietening on earth with less planes and shut downs of industry is Medicine to our eco system that we have taxed mercilessly for decades for our own gain. Currently the birds are louder, the waters are clear, the fish are present, and we have time to do the reflective practices that always fell off the priority list. Even if we can’t see one another in person, we have time to see each other from our hearts because we feel more. Struggles and pain often crack open the heart like nothing other. What do you see?
We have been in Rishikesh in India’s Himalayas and the family at the guest house are always lovingly smiling with verbal reassurance that everything will be fine. Not to spend precious time in worry.
After two days in curfew that only allowed you to outside the gate and get vegetables and return, the prime minister announced that the whole of India will begin lockdown for 21 days.
In the morning I saw the brother, he said “no problem, you can go to the fruit and veg stand below from 7-10 am” with a big smile of gratitude for life. Why spend precious energy on restrictions. What is at hand, even if it’s almost nothing, is enough.
This is love. Reverence for life.
Love to you dear friend,
Day 9/21in lockdown.
These thoughts were inspired by Eilis Haden-Storrie, an Irish friend who takes us on a magical day of the history of healing during our retreat in the Burren. Visit her blog for more inspirations on Healing - Love in the Time of Corona. Even add your thoughts, your story. ;-)
