Humanity in the Great Pause | Mindful Necessities Update

Here we are in the time of the Great Pause. With all the challenges of life as we know it, we are certainly prompted to see in new ways. Old familiar roads are either in disrepair or made into one way paths, perhaps not the direction we want to go. But when we think of these times as the Great Pause, there is an invitation to be part of creating the new roadmap. 

When nothing is working as we know it and we just sit in stillness with no expectations, life presents itself in new ways. The more ugliness I see in the world, the more humbled I am by additional beauty that sneaks up and shines through humanity.

So now it’s time to close a significant chapter and begin the next. On September 2nd I will leave India for Canada, flying with Lufthansa. Even though there are two connections through Germany, their hygiene protocols during Covid and their success at completing their flights are very high. Although the thought of travel in India now unnerves me, we will use every protocol to stay healthy and strong. I’m really looking forward to the embrace of my beautiful family, community and being hands on with the creative side of Mindful Necessities.

I’m looking forward to introducing the new jewellery project this fall that I’ve been working on here. It’s simple yet significant. Stay tuned.

The weekend retreat at Cedar Healing Arts is full but I am working on a couple of other small venues around Toronto before Christmas.

You will not hear from me next weekend as I will be in transit. Since life always has us manoeuvre a bit on a wing and a prayer, all extra good energy this way will be appreciated.
